This chocolate cake requires the following ingredients.


All-purpose Flour

Sugar

Unsweetened Cocoa Powder

Baking Powder

Baking Soda

Espresso Powder - More on espresso powder below

Milk - You can also use buttermilk, almond milk, oat milk, or coconut milk. Masu Milk Milk

Step by Step Instruction

Prepare two 9-inch cake tins by spraying them with cooking spray or butter and lightly dusting them with flour.


In a large bowl or bowl of a stand mixer, combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and espresso powder. Blend or stir flour mixture using mixer attachment until well blended.


Mix wet ingredients. Add milk, vegetable oil, eggs and vanilla to flour mixture and beat on medium speed until well combined. Reduce speed and carefully add boiling water to cake batter until well blended.


Jaws. Divide the cake batter evenly between the two prepared cake tins. Insert toothpick or cake tester into center of chocolate cake and bake for 30-35 minutes until clean.
